Nessa Cymbalisty Website

Nessa Cymbalisty is running for Mayor in Qualicum Beach in the October 17, 2026 local election. This fact check tests the policy and money claims in Nessa Cymbalisty’s campaign website, freeadviceclub.ca against Town of Qualicum Beach records: Council minutes, budgets and staff reports. We rated one claim: one accurate.

Cymbalisty’s website is about her, not the Town: her experience, her business and how to reach her. It makes no claims about Council or Town finances. The election facts it gives are right: the two all-candidates meetings and voting day.

Accurate

1. General Election

   “All Candidates Meetings: September 22 - 7:00pm / October 5 - 5:00pm / Qualicum Beach Civic Centre - 747 Jones Street”

Accurate Both are right. The Eaglecrest Residents’ Association held a meeting on September 22 at 7 pm, and the Qualicum Beach Residents’ Association holds one on Monday, October 5 at 5 pm, both at the Civic Centre.

We didn’t check her background, because the Town records we hold don’t cover it: her experience on student and parent councils (the site’s heading says four; her questionnaire says three), her work as an arbiter, legal researcher and life coach, and her event work. The site’s other pages are about the Free Advice Club, her business, which it says will open in a heritage firehouse in Nanaimo.
