What it is
The proposal was to establish an Arts and Culture Committee, carried as scoping sheet 25-HW-09 for the 2025–2029 Financial Plan.
The motion Council passed recorded that the committee was not to need staff support or money from the plan, and that forming a society needs no Council endorsement, staff support or money, and does not make it a select or standing committee of Council.
On that basis Council resolved that the request not be advanced, and closed the scoping sheet. Unanimous, Resolution 24-305.
